It is necessary to keep the rocker arm shaft cool before mounting the assembly. After that, fit the rocker arm shaft (1) into the camshaft bearing bridge (2) and slide it into place through the rocker arms, lightly tapping it with a mallet to check the alignment. Should the rocker shaft refuse to come out of the camshaft bearing bridge, use a heat source to warm the bearing to a maximum of 160°C. Now, put two bridge bolts for the camshaft bearings through the holes of the bridge so that they hold and position the rocker arm shaft and point the oil holes in the shaft down at the cylinder head. The next step is to install the camshaft bearing bridge.
