How to Service and Repair a Tie Rod End on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?

Before servicing or repairing the outer tie rod, line up the front wheels so the car is in line and raise and lift the car on stands. Take off the front tire and its associated wheel assembly and then loosen the tie rod jam nut 2. After that, use your hand to keep the end of the steering tie rod from rotating while loosening and removing nut 5 with a wrench. To loosen the outer tie rod end 2 from the steering knuckle 3, install Special Tool C-3894-A and use Remover. Lastly, untwist the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod threads and see how many turns are needed to remove it, so you know for installation.
