2007 Chrysler Pacifica Power Steering Pump Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Power Steering Pump on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Mount the pulley hub around the central shaft of the power steering pump before anything else. When using later build pumps with partially threaded shafts, add a stack of washers that is 13 mm (0.5 in.) thick underneath the pulley before putting on Installer C-4063C. Stack these components on a replacement pump if the shaft hole is 32 mm (1.25 in.) deep; pumps created later will have a shaft hole that measures only 20 mm (0.78 in.). If they are required, put the group of washers onto the pulley hub. You must use Installer C-4063C and Forcing Screw C-4063-2 during this procedure. Pull Thread Installer C-4063C all the way onto the shaft threads inside the power steering pump, then turn the Installer Nut opposed to the washers on the pump pulley. Line up the special tool and pulley with the pump shaft as you tighten the Installer Nut which will result in the pulley being held onto the shaft by the washers touching the end of the pump. After that, remove the special tool from the power steering pump and put the pump onto the engine.
