How to Replace a Camshaft Seal on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First, take off the timing belt before starting to service and repair the camshaft oil seal. After that, secure each camshaft sprocket with Camshaft Sprocket Holder 6847 and remove the center bolt; the camshaft sprockets will come off on their own. When that is done, remove the cover for the rear timing belt and use Camshaft Seal Remover C-4679A to take out the camshaft seal, making sure you do not damage either the shaft seal surface or the seal bore.
