2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Coolant Temperature Sensor for Optimal Performance on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Before you service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch in your computer, remove the negative battery cable. With the non-turbo engine, partially un-fill the coolant below the temperature sensor 1, connect wires and then pull out the sensor. Also, on turbo engine models, remove the negative attachment from the battery, slightly drain the cooling system, detach the upper screw from the torque strut, disconnect the electrical plug and remove the sensor.
