2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How is the MAP Sensor Installed on the Intake Manifold on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: The MAP sensor is fastened onto the intake manifold plenum. First, put the sensor in the intake manifold, making sure the O-ring isn't broken as you fit it. Tighten the screws holding the manifold tightly, following a torque reading of 2 Nm (20 in. lbs) on your wrench. After you've secured the sensor, connect the wires to the connector. After fitting the active battery cable, connect the negative cable, place the air cleaner lid on and run the make-up air hose.
