2007 Chrysler Sebring A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Ensure Optimal Performance When Removing the A/C Condenser on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before detaching the A/C condenser, record the locations of the radiator/condenser air seals because they are fundamental for directing air inside the A/C condenser and radiator and need to be installed properly for these systems to function correctly. Disconnect and separate the negative battery cable to begin and then recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. If your car has the 2.0L diesel engine, remove the front fascia; if it is gasoline, remove the upper radiator mounts from the support and move the radiator rearward slightly to work on the A/C condenser. Remove the nut fastening the A/C discharge line to the right side of the A/C condenser, throw away the seal and gasket and cover the opened discharge line fitting and condenser inlet port with plugs or tape. Get the car up, then reach into the front fascia below to get to the A/C liquid line, if your model uses gasoline. Lift the nut that holds the A/C liquid line to the A/C condenser, separate the line and throw away the O-ring seal and gasket. Remember to put plugs or tape over both the open liquid line fitting and the condenser port. Take out the two bolts that connect the lower condenser brackets to the radiator, lower the vehicle and if you have an automatic transmission, take the cooler lines off of the left A/C condenser side. At last, lift the A/C condenser vertically, release both brackets from the radiator and get the condenser out of the engine compartment.
