2007 Chrysler Sebring Brake Light Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Brake Light Switch on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Get a new brake light switch and remember to adjust its attachment lever by 45° towards the wiring connector; if it is set parallel, the switch is pre-set and needs to be replaced. Put the index tab on the switch on the brake pedal bracket notch and then turn it clockwise, about 30° to hold it in place. Once the brake pedal is released, move the lever on the switch from 45° to a position parallel with the wiring connector which is correct. Mount the wiring harness connector onto the switch, insert the silencer pad below the steering column if you have one and attach the battery negative terminal. At last, pull the brakes to ensure the stop lamps do not stay on and drive the vehicle on the road to confirm the correct operation of the brakes and speed control.
