2007 Chrysler Town & Country A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an A/C Hose Suction Line on 2007 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Put the suction line into the engine area and eliminate any tape or plugs from the openings at the suction line fittings and expansion valve ports. Before linking the suction and liquid lines of the A/C to the valve, apply clean oil to any new rubber O-ring seals and then attach them to the fittings on the lines. Fix the nut in place and tighten it by hand to 17 ft.lbs. (23 Nm). Begin by hooking the suction line suction line routing clip to the receiver/drier bracket fastened to the right front strut tower. Take off the tape covering the suction line fitting and compressor port, apply some oil to a brand-new rubber O-ring, fit it on to the suction line fitting and connect the A/C suction line to the compressor. Attach and tighten the nut that fastens the A/C suction line to the compressor to 17 ft.lbs. or 23 Nm. Fit the drain tube onto the wiper module drain on the right hand side of the engine compartment and after that, mount the air cleaner top cover and snorkel on the housing. Support the vehicle, take off the tape or plugs from the extension line fitting and the underbody line, put some clean refrigerant oil on a new rubber O-ring seal and fit the seal onto the underbody suction line. Pipe the suction front extension line from the A/C onto the underbody suction line, then tighten the attachment to 23 Nm (17 ft.lbs.). Lower the car, plug the negative battery cable back in, correctly evacuate the refrigeration system and charge it up after.
