2007 Dodge Dakota Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Shock Absorber on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before doing any service or repairs on a shock absorber, unscrew the nuts that hold the top of it. After that, support the vehicle and take off the tire and wheel lying underneath. Take out the disc brake caliper mounting bolts and the connecting clip for the wheel speed sensor. Afterwards, take out the upper ball joint nut and use 8677 tool to separate the ball joint from the knuckle. Lift the lower control arm outboard end, then take away the stabilizer link lock nut and separate the stabilizer link to get to the lower shock nut. Remove the lower shock bolt and nut as your last step before uninstalling the shock.
