2007 Dodge Durango A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Ensure Safety and Proper Disassembly of an A/C Hose on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: Follow all important instructions and warnings before you start the operation to avoid personal injury or death. Start by unplugging and removing the negative battery cable, removing the refrigerant from the system and removing any coolant from the engine. Support and lift the vehicle and afterward disconnect the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Get rid of the secondary retaining clips found at the couplers on the suction and liquid line tubes. Take the necessary A/C line disconnect tools from Special Tool Kit 7193 or an alternative to disconnect and remove the liquid and suction lines coming from the underbody, throwing away the O-ring seals when done. Couplers and the underbody refrigerant lines should be fitted with plugs or taped over. Remove the hoses connecting the underbody heater to the front heater and then unbolt both the rear suction and liquid lines at the rear evaporator line tapping plate at the rear floor below the right rear wheel housing. Remove the suction and liquid lines from the back, take out the O-ring seals and insert tubing plugs everywhere you had valve lines or tape over those tapping plate openings so nothing can get in. Switch off the heater by taking out the heater hoses from the rear heater core tubes embedded in the rear floor. Open the passenger side by taking out all its body mount bolts and loosen the bolts on the driver's side. Set jackstands beneath the car under the passenger side in front and rear. Take out the five screws holding the underbody lines to the vehicle frame, then lower the hoist so the stand side of the body is 76-101 mm (3-4 in.) above the frame for access to the underbody line assembly. In the end, burglar-proof your car by removing the underbody line assembly from under the vehicle body.
