2006 Dodge Durango A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install an A/C Hose on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: The A/C suction line links the evaporator to the compressor and on cars with A/C in the rear, it attaches to the underbody pipes with an extension body. Before you remove the A/C suction line, recover the refrigerant and detach the negative battery cable. After that, pull the refrigerant line connector off the second clip and detach the A/C suction line from the compressor as well as from the front expansion valve. Take the underbody suction line out from the extension tube and throw away the O-ring seal and then cover the refrigerant line coupler and underbody suction line with plugs or tape. Disconnect the A/C suction line from beneath the hood. For the installation, first connect the suction line from the A/C to the compressor and to the front A/C expansion valve. Then, remove the tape or plugs from the suction line coupler and the underbody suction line and you are done. Lubricate your new seal using approved refrigerant oil and add it to the refrigerant line coupler. Link the underbody suction line to the extension tube, clip on the secondary retainer to the refrigerant coupler, hook up the negative cable to the battery, clear out the refrigerant system and then charge it again.
