2007 Dodge Durango A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install an A/C Condenser on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: Before fitting the A/C condenser, make sure to check and adjust the level of refrigerant oil to avoid damaging the compressor, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of suitable oil if it's the only part being replaced and use the chart below if you have to change more items. When a refrigerant line is accessed, change the O-ring seals and gaskets and position all air seals right to keep the radiator and condenser running well. Responding to criticism, they added that the A/c condenser should be placed in the condenser fan shroud and firmly attached with bolts that are fastened to 45 in. lbs. Push the radiator away from the engine and lock the lower tabs of the condenser/cooling fan assembly to the bottom crossmember, then use a bolt to attach the assembly to the fender rail. Put the upper mounting tab into the upper radiator support hole and attach the support with three secured with bolts turned to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Take out any old tape and plugs from the discharge and liquid line fittings and condenser ports, put clean refrigerant oil on the new O-ring seals and fit them and the gaskets onto the fittings, using only the right O-rings for R-134a. Secure nuts on the A/C condenser where you attach the discharge line and A/C liquid line to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.) and make sure the discharge line is inserted into the retaining clamp on the condenser fan shroud. Bolt the wire harness and retainers to the condenser fan shroud, connect the wire harness connectors to the condenser cooling fan motor and the A/C pressure transducer, set the upper condenser/radiator seal in place and use the push-pin retainers. Reattach the negative car battery cable, empty the refrigerant system and add the correct amount of refrigerant oil during recharging.
