2007 Dodge Durango Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely and Correctly Service an Air Bag Sensor on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: Before reaching the front impact sensor, first disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable and let the system capacitor discharge for at least two minutes. Making contact with the front impact sensor or letting it fall may result in harm or a calibration error; a broken front impact sensor must be replaced. Put the right or left front impact sensor into the engine compartment and plug the dash and headlight wire harness into the sensor connector. Make sure the sensor sits flat onto the radiator support vertical member on the right or left side, so its anti-rotation pin enters into the lower clearance hole of the radiator support. Slide the sensor into place by putting the screw through the sensor and turning it until it reaches 6 Nm (55 in. lbs.). Do not reconnect the negative battery cable until the car's air bag check is completed after working on any part of the air bag system.
