    A: Take the wheel and tire assembly off first, next take off the brake caliper and rotor. With puller 8677, remove the tie rod connection from the steering knuckle and the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle as well. Then, get rid of the steering knuckle and, in 4X4 models, shift the half shaft away and place it between the wheels for guidance. Solidly carve the ball joint stakes and always apply a lot of lubricant on the threaded surface of the tool to help it last and function well while being removed and installed. Using special handheld tools C-4212-F (PRESS), 9333-1 (Driver) and 9333-2 (Receiver), press down on the ball joint from the lower control arm.
