How to Service and Repair a Shock Absorber on 2007 Dodge Durango?

Before servicing or repairing the shock absorber, raise and prop up the vehicle and take off the wheel and tire assembly. After supporting the lower control arm outboard, take out the nut and bolt attached to the upper shock (11). After that, take out the stabilizer link lower nut (7) and pull the stabilizer link clear of the lower control arm; now you can remove the lower shock bolt (2). Next, get rid of the lower shock bolt from the trailing arm and take out the shock itself.
