Be sure to put significant amounts of lubricant on the threaded areas before you assemble the front lower ball joint. Use tools C-4212-F (press), 9333-1 (Receiver) and 9333-3 (Driver) to install the ball joint (3) into the
Control Arm. Then use a chisel and hammer to drive stakes into the ball joint flange in four even areas. When halfshafts are needed, support the transmission, remove them from the intermediate and place them into proper position for 4X4 models. Then, put in the
Steering Knuckle and bolt it on, next fit the
Tie Rod End into the steering knuckle. If the car has halfshafts, tighten their nuts to 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.). Following that, replace the
Brake Caliper and rotor and then fasten the tire and wheel assembly. Make sure to examine the vehicle's ride height and bring the wheels into alignment at the end.
