2007 Dodge Durango Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install and Adjust a Rear Wiper Arm on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: It is important to park the motor by starting the ignition and moving the rear wiper switch to Off prior to installing the wiper arm. If the wiper motor output shaft is in motion, pause it by turning the engine switch back to point "Off." The wiper arm on the motor must be placed at the same point as the output shaft when the motor is in park. Set the wiper arm pivot end onto the motor shaft, so that the wiper blade lines up with the alignment mark in the upper part of the lower liftgate glass blackout area on the right corner. After the wiper has been indexed, drop the pivot portion down on top of the output shaft. Instal the locking nut on the arm at the captain's end shaft and tighten it to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Spray some water over the rear glass and move the rear wiper, then turn off the rear wiper switch and make sure the wiper arm rests at the correct position. Insert the plastic cap's tab into the opposite mounting hole and push on the notched side of the cap until you hear it snap into the lens.
