2007 Dodge Ram 1500 A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Hose for 3.7L/4.7L Engines on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: Trailblazers with 3.7L/4.7L engines should begin HVAC hose/line service by disconnecting and isolating the negative battery cable first. First, collect the refrigerant from the refrigerant system and afterwards take off the air filter housing cover. Now, take out the nut that holds the A/C suction line to the compressor, detach the line from the compressor and toss out the O-ring and gasket. Plug the opened refrigerant line fitting and the compressor port or cover them with tape. Take out the secondary clip that holds the A/C suction line to the accumulator on the spring-lock coupler. Detach the A/C suction line from the accumulator with an A/C line disconnect tool (Special Tool Kit 7193 or its alternative) and discard the O-ring seals from the fitting on the accumulator tube. Again, cork or tape the end of the suction line fitting and the accumulator tube and lastly, pull the A/C suction line from under the hood.
