2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Blend Door Actuator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install the Blend Door Actuator in the Heating and A/C System on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: The heating-A/C system depends on two mode door actuators, one controls the panel/floor-air door and another is for the defrost-air door. The actuator should be installed on the back of the HVAC housing so that the actuator output shaft is in line with the panel/floor door actuator coupler. Use screws to attach the actuator to the HVAC housing, tightening them to 1.1 Nm (10 in. lbs.) and then insert the HVAC wire harness connector into the actuator. When finished, set the instrument panel in place and link the negative battery cable again. Set the actuator behind the HVAC housing's rear, placing the actuator output shaft to line up with the coupler for the defrost door actuator. Attach it using screws tightened to 1.1 Nm (10 in. lbs.), then plug in the HVAC wire harness connector. Following that, place the instrument panel in its spot and attach the negative battery cable.
