2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Service a Front Crankshaft Seal on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: First, take away the negative cable from the battery and take out the accessory drive belt before servicing or repairing the front crankshaft seal. Following this, get rid of the A/C compressor mounting screws, store them after and then drain the old anti-freeze system, removing the top radiator hose. Remove the fan connector inside the radiator surround, then pull out the fasteners and lift off the shroud, as the transmission cooler section attaches to the shroud's lower right. After that, get rid of the radiator cooling fan and its shroud and then remove the crankshaft damper bolt. Use tools 8513 Insert and 1026 Three Jaw Puller to remove the damper and then use Special Tool 8511 to remove the crankshaft front seal.
