2007 Jeep Commander Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install and Adjust a Rear Wiper Arm on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: Before putting the rear wiper arm in place, switch the ignition to the On position and move the rear wiper switch to Off. Should the movement from the wiper motor out last, wait for the motion to finish and turn Off the ignition switch afterward. Impact the rear wiper arm to the motor output shaft only when the gear is in the park position. Lift the rear wiper arm and attach it to the rear liftgate so that the tab on the wiper arm's support sits on the park ramp. Push the hole in the bracket down over the output shaft, insert and screw the rear wiper arm mounting nut onto the output shaft and only tighten the nut to 10 Nm (86 in. lbs.). Guide the rear wiper arm support down into its right place within the cradle of the park ramp. Dampen the liftgate glass and use the rear wiper, then turn off your wiper and examine the wiper arm support position against the park ramp, making any adjustments needed. After that, place the plastic cap over the pivot on the rear wiper arm and press it down carefully until it fits and stays put.
