2007 Jeep Commander Washer Reservoir Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Washer Reservoir on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: You need to install the windshield washer reservoir inside the left front fender wheel house by going underneath the car and positioning it, rotating it as much as you need to clear obstacles. The first is to lock the hook on the reservoir into the slot in the left front frame rail. After, use two bolts to secure the reservoir to the front rail, turning them inwards to 60 inch pounds (7 Nm). It is important to attach the front and rear washer hoses to the washer pump outlet nipples securely, so the washer systems work properly. Attach the washer hoses to the barbed outlets on the pump and link the washer pump/motor unit's wire harness connectors with the headlamp and dash. Put the plastic push-in fasteners back into the left front wheelhouse splash shield and secure them to the inner fender panel and front fascia and then lower the vehicle. Attach a new blind rivet to secure the washer reservoir filler neck mounting bracket to the radiator crossmember above and then replace the washer reservoir filler cap hinge onto the hook on the filler neck. Refill the reservoir with what you drained earlier and link the negative cable from the battery.
