  A: While servicing the fuel rail on a 2.0/2.4L engine, reduce the fuel system pressure and clear the work area of ignition points, smoke and greenhouse gas to avoid injury or death. You should lay shop towels around the hose opening so you can catch any spilled gasoline. Start by unhooking the negative battery cable and once that's done, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. After the fuel line is removed, free the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors and remove the wiring harness at the studs on the fuel rail. After that, uninstall the 2 bolts that fasten the fuel rail and remove both the fuel rail and injectors from the manifold. Remove the fuel injectors from your fuel rail at the end of this process.
