How to install an Axle Shaft on 2007 Jeep Liberty?

The first step is to push the axle shaft (1) into the axle tube (2) and line up the splines on each. Drizzle lubricant into the bearing bore and also on the seal lip. After that, put the C-lock (1) on the end of the axle shaft and push the axle toward the side gear to seat the C-lock. After that, fit the pinion mate shaft (1) into the differential case (2) while using the thrust washers and differential pinions to guide. Position the hole in the shaft so it fits into the hole in the differential case and hold it in place with a lock screw (4), applying Loctite(R) and tightening the screw to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.). Next, fit the differential cover and all the rear brake assemblies.
