2007 Jeep Liberty Brake Pad Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair Rear Brake Pads on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: When servicing rear brake pads, first put an old shoe between the caliper piston and a C-clamp and use the clamp to push the piston into the caliper bore. Once the caliper's holes are cleaned, clean the caliper mounting adapter and the anti-rattle spring guide and apply Mopar brake grease to all the anti-rattle spring guides. After that, put on the inboard brake pad (1) and the outboard brake pad (2) onto the caliper. Place the top end of the caliper over the rotor and hold it by the adapter (the lower end) and lower the bottom of the caliper down onto the adapter. Attach the caliper (1) to the rotor and set in the caliper slide pin bolts. After wheel and tire assemblies are back in place, bring the vehicle down, press the brakes several times and check that the pedal is firm. Please make sure to fill the master cylinder to the proper level after everything else is done.
