  A: Begin by taking out the wire to the fluid level switch connected at the bottom of the reservoir on left-hand drive cars for vacuum brake booster servicing. In the next step, take out the master cylinder and attach the bottom to the vacuum hoses. To create room to disconnect the two HCU clips, detach the brake lines from the master cylinder and the HCU and then lift the HCU out of its mounts. Bring out the knee blocker from below the steering column and throw away the brake light switch. First remove the clip that holds the booster push rod to the brake pedal and then take out the nuts holding the booster to the dash panel. In the engine compartment, first pull the booster studs from the dash bar, tilt the booster upward and then remove it.
