There is no need to remove the hood when changing either hood hinge; they can be changed separately. Make sure you lift and support the hood before you begin any work under it. Driven by the standard published (Fig. Y), place a grease pencil or an equal instrument at the location of hinge 1. After that, take out the hood support cylinder 4. With the driver side door open, undo bolts 3 that join hinge 1 to the body and bolts 1 holding hinge 2 in place on the hood. Pull the hinge away from the vehicle.
