Start the service process by lifting and supporting the vehicle, removing the wheel and tire assembly and placing marks on the tie rod end jam nuts of the steering gear so you can easily install them once everything is fixed. After that, use a wrench to loosen the tie rod end jam nut 1, undo the outer tie rod end 3 nut and separate the outer tie rod end 3 from the knuckle using tool C3894A while recording the amount of turns. Next, take out tie rod end 3 from inner tie rod 2.
