Q: How to Service and Repair a Drive Shaft on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: You should check that the car is parked in neutral and on a lift before beginning drive shaft work. Put a mark across the rear propeller shaft CV joint and the axle flange and also note the end of the propeller shaft axle, leaving it flexible as to which way it can be installed. Label a vertical line across the front propeller shaft CV joint and across the transmission/transfer case flange, together with a sign for the rear end of the propeller shaft transmission/transfer case flange. After that, remove the bolts and retainers from the front and rear propeller shaft CV joints. At the end, tighten the clamp on the propeller shaft until it disconnects from each flange.
