2007 Jeep Wrangler EGR Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Locate and Remove the EGR Valve on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The position of the EGR air control valve is next to the center of the intake manifold. The control valve is connected to the intake manifold by means of the cast intake housing. The first thing to do is remove and cut off the negative battery cable at the battery. After that, loosen and remove the rubber intake tube clamp. Unhook the rubber tube from the air control valve and then remove the electrical connector from the air control valve. Loosen and remove the EGR air control valve bolts and then take out the valve. Throw out the old mounting gasket where the EGR air control valve meets the intake manifold connecting housing. After that, tidy up both the floor of the air control valve and the intake manifold connected housing.
