2007 Jeep Wrangler Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Ensure Proper Sealing and Prevent Overheating When Installing a Radiator on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Secure the rubbers at the end of the radiator to both the body and the A/C condenser before fitting the radiator or A/C condenser, since these rubbers help prevent overheating. First, insert the radiator alignment dowels into the rubber grommts in the lower radiator crossmember and then tighten the mounting bolts to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.). Install the combination A/C condenser/transmission oil cooler into the J-clips, put in the mounting bolts and tighten them to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.). Attach the tapping block for the evaporator line and installation bolt and tighten to 8 Nm or 70 in. lbs. Then position the horn and tighten its mounting bolt to the same level. Put in the electric cooling fan and after that, setup both the lower and upper radiator seals. Put on the front grill, fit the radiator hoses and fasten the hoses with the clamps. Fit the coolant recovery container, put the right coolant into the system and attach the negative cable of the battery. Then, turn the engine on and look for any leaks.
