2007 Jeep Wrangler Wiper Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Install and Align a Wiper Switch on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before installing the wiper switch, disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable, disable the supplemental restraint system and make sure to postpone installing until the capacitor has discharged for two minutes, as this is very important in vehicles having air bags. Put the switch board as close as possible to the bracket on the right side of the Clock Spring. After that, join the jumper wire harness connector to the connector receptacle on the inboard side of the switch. Place the slide tabs on the switch housing over the holes in the Clock Spring bracket and push the switch into the bracket until it is done. Secure the back of the multi-function switch by tightening the screw 1 Nm (10 in. lbs.) with a 2.5-millimeter screwdriver. As a final step, put the upper shroud on the steering column, then the lower one on the shrouder adapter and rejoin the negative battery terminal.
