How to Safely Service and Disassemble a Wiper Switch on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

To maintain the wiper switch, turn off the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) by removing the negative battery cable, waiting two minutes and then returning it. Take off the upper and lower shrouds first from the steering column. After that, unscrew the multi-function switch on the right side of the Clock Spring from the mounting bracket using the screw provided. Pull the switch toward yourself to detach the slide tabs found on the switch housing from the channel formations in the mounting bracket. Take the jumper wire harness connector out of the receptacle on the inboard end of the right multi-function switch and then pull the switch off the Clock Spring.
