2008 Chrysler Pacifica Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install Air Bag Sensors for Front and Side Impact on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: To put in the sensor, fit it into the vehicle and link connector number 4. After peering through the opening of the headlamp, attach the two mounting screws 1 to secure the front impact sensor 2, applied until the torque reaches 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Following this, install the front lamp unit on that side. Do not connect the black battery cable while doing the testing to prevent any injury. Make sure to close the hood after that. Position sensor 1 for the first row side impact sensor on the B-pillar and after that, connect electrical connector 3. Set the two retaining screws 2 to the impact sensor 1, secure them at 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.) and then fit the B-pillar trim to the side with the sensor you are using. Remember to not join the battery negative cable and perform the tests you need to make. Remember to shut the hood after you're finished. Next, install the side impact sensors from the C-pillar, use position sensor 3 and hook up electrical connector 1. Secure the impact sensor 3 to the car with the two retaining screws 2 and tighten them to 7 Nm (62 in. lbs., but no more), before setting the quarter trim panel on that same side. Be sure that the negative battery cable is still disconnected and do the needed testing to avoid injuring yourself. After you are finished, close the hood.
