2008 Chrysler Pacifica Power Steering Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Power Steering Pump on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: You should first disconnect the negative battery cable and isolate it to work on or repair the power steering pump. After that, take off the cover of the power steering fluid reservoir and connect a siphon pump to remove all of the fluid. Following that, remove the air cleaner housing and all hoses from the engine. After that, remove the accessory drive belt. Following that, take out the clamp and remove the hose leading from the reservoir. You can unscrew the tube nut at the pump end to take out the pressure hose from the pump pump. With that done, take out the pump along with its pulley and reservoir by undoing the bolts holding the pump in place outside the engine. If the pulley must be taken off, use the correct technique for the job.
