How Is the Passenger Air Bag Installed on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Place the passenger air bag into the spot under the instrument panel, join the wire to the air bag connector and secure the last tab to lock it all in place. After that, attach the two nuts where the passenger air bag fits on the instrument panel inside the glove box opening, tightening each to 27 Nm (240 in. lbs.). Then, put the two screws in at the top of the air bag cover, followed by the four screws along the bottom end. Then, put the appropriate instrument panel end cap in place, slide the sides of the box/bin flush and shut the glove box door. You'll then need to install the instrument panel upper frame cover. Avoid plugging the battery negative cable in until the system test has finished so you do not risk serious or fatal injury.
