Accessory belts and the lower splash shield should be removed first before servicing or repairing the harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley. After that, remove the crankshaft harmonic balancer bolt. Put the Crankshaft Harmonic Balancer Removal Insert 6827A into the Puller 1026 and remove the balancer.
