  A: Before installing the camshaft, make sure none of the pistons are up at top dead center. Start by coating every camshaft bearing journal, the top of all rocker arms and the sides of the camshaft lobes with a light film. Replace the rocker arms on the head in their initial positions if you choose to use them again. Guide the camshafts onto the cylinder head bearing journals and secure No. 2 - 5 of the bearing caps and right No. 6 on them, with both sides tightened by 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) in order given. On levels 1 and 6, rope off Mopar(R) Gasket Maker to the bearing caps and set these caps back into position, tightening the M8 fasteners to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) You should install the bearing end caps before attaching the seals. To replace camshaft oil seals, use Camshaft Seal Installer MD-998306. After that, mount the camshaft target magnet and connect the camshaft position sensor (3). After that, place the cylinder head cover followed by the rear timing belt cover and put fasteners (1,2), before finishing with the timing belt tensioner (3). Start by putting the camshaft sprockets in using Camshaft Sprocket Holder 6847 and end by fitting the timing belt.
