How to Install a Trunk Lid Latch on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before securing the decklid, slip its latch (6) into the decklid (5) and bolt the latch down with the two solid screws (7). Attach the lock cylinder link to the latch, then slide the retainer clip over so it locks in place completely. After that, connect the decklid latch wiring plug to the body wire harness and place the negative battery cable back. Testing is important, so after attaching the lock and latch, make sure the decklid lock cylinder and latch are working properly before installing the decklid trim panel.
