The O-ring seal should be replaced before installing the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch whenever the HVAC pressure switch is removed, so refrigerant leaks do not occur. With clean refrigerant oil, lubricate a new rubber seal made of special material for R-134a and add it to the top fitting of the A/C receiver/drier (3). Now, glue the HVAC pressure switch (2) onto the fitting and tighten as recommended: 5.6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). First, attach the wire harness connector from the HVAC pressure switch, then put in the air cleaner housing and inlet duct and finally re-install the negative battery cable.
