2008 Dodge Caliber Brake Drum Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Drum on 2008 Dodge Caliber?
A: Before removing the brake drum, ensure that the car is up on a safe support. Take off the wheel by undoing the nuts where the wheel is mounted. Lift the brake drum up from the wheel's mounting studs. Should the drum not come off freely, loosen the brake adjuster screw by undoing the plug in the rear of the support plate under the wheel cylinder. Place a small screwdriver through the support plate's access hole and push on the lever pawl, so it is released from the adjusting wheel's teeth. Turn the adjuster wheel in an upward motion to remove some tension with a second screwdriver or a brake adjuster tool. After backing off the adjuster screw enough, the drum can come off by simply sliding the drum away from the wheel mounting studs.
