Put the catalytic converter into the I-Pipe/muffler assembly and secure it against the exhaust manifold with a new gasket. Put in the flange nuts and tighten them until the torque is 29 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). At the front, check and correct the placement of all components, plus the proximity to underbody parts and use the torque wrench to fasten each band clamp to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Avoid tightening the band clamps to where the two sides hit the center block, since this will cause the clamping force to weaken and the clamps to need replacing. When finished installing, test the engine and check the exhaust leaks, make any repairs that are required and inspect that the exhaust does not touch the body panels, adjusting accordingly.
