2008 Dodge Caliber Heater Core Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain a Heater Core on 2008 Dodge Caliber?
A: Remove the HVAC housing assembly from the vehicle and place it on a workbench so you can service the heater core, as the steps are almost the same for RHD and heater-only models. You should also take out the left side front floor duct. A damaged or deformed foam seal for the flange needs to be replaced immediately. After that, take off the foam gasket from the flange that points forward on the HVAC housing. Locate the screw at the front of the HVAC housing that supports the flange and then remove both. With that done, unscrew the screw which holds the retaining bracket for the heater core tubes to the left side of the air distribution housing. Take the air distribution housing off the HVAC housing for RHD cars. Afterwards, slowly remove the heater core from the driver side of the air distribution housing as you move on.
