  • Q: How to Remove Car Speakers on 2008 Dodge Durango?
    A: First, unplug and place the battery negative cable away from the speakers to remove them. Remove the trim from the front door, disconnect the screws holding the speaker to the door and disconnect the wiring harness once the speaker is detached. The panel includes an instrument panel defroster grille. Before removal, remove the fasteners, follow by getting rid of the speaker and unplugging the electrical harness connector. First, disconnect the trim panel for the rear door, remove its fasteners and free the speaker from its bracket, cutting free the electrical connection cable. Take out the rear door trim panel, disconnect the tweeter harness connector and take the rear tweeter out of the door. To take apart the subwoofer, get rid of the trim on the quarter panel, then unscrew the bolts holding on the subwoofer. Once all that's done, remove the speaker and disconnect the electrical connectors from it.
