How to Locate and Remove the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Dodge Ram 3500?

You will find the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the right below the timing gear/chain cover directly next to the generator. You should remove the electrical connector at the CMP sensor, prior to removing the sensor itself. After that, take out the sensor mounting bolt. Gently turn the sensor away from the timing gear/chain cover and check if the sensor O-ring is in good shape.
