How to Maintain Knock Sensors on a 5.7L Engine on 2008 Dodge Ram 3500?

You should first lift the vehicle to access the knock sensors. Unplug each electrical connector from the two sensors that sit on the exterior of the cylinder block, just above where the exhaust manifold is attached. There is a piece of foam attached to the bolt threads of each sensor, as it only keeps the bolt connected during plant assembly. Make sure not to use an adhesive, sealant or thread locking compound with these bolts. At last, detach the sensors from the engine.
