How to Properly Service and Repair a Camshaft Without Damaging the Journals on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

For the left camshaft service, begin by sliding the camshafts onto the camshaft adjuster and end by installing the camshaft hold downs. After that, put on a new pulse wheel on the camshaft adjusters and get rid of the drift from inside the camshaft adjuster. Grab the back side of the camshaft using a Torx bit while putting in the center valve at the front. After the right cylinder head cover is on, set in the intake air assembly and then secure the remote ground (1). Be very careful not to damage the journals as the camshaft is removed.
