2008 Dodge Viper Thermostat Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Thermostat for Engine Coolant on 2008 Dodge Viper?
A: Start by wiping both sealing surfaces clean with a plastic scraper and Mopar(R) Brake Parts Cleaner or an equivalent, so as not to harm the surfaces. Now, set the new thermostat in place and then put on the thermostat housing gasket. Install the thermostat housing into the chain case cover and tighten the bolts that hold it in place to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) following the sequence given. Attach the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing, then put the assembly for the air cleaner housing in place and join the throttle body air inlet hose. Now, make sure the cooling system is full.
