2009 Dodge Viper Thermostat Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Thermostat for Engine Coolant on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: First, use a plastic scraper and cleaner to clean both sealing areas on the engine to avoid any scratches or gouges while you install. Then, sew the patch into the patch pocket and install the new thermostat housing. Screw the thermostat housing onto the chain case cover and tighten its bolts to a torque of 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) in the right sequence. Fix the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing, after that, fasten the air cleaner housing assembly and join the middle of the throttle body air inlet hose. Don't forget to replace the coolant after refilling the car.
